If not litigation, dogsdad, a lot of whining for sure. Count on the Libs trying to spin this loss every which way but loose. As an example, I just heard wonder boy Osama Bama saying that had Kerry reacted quicker to the Swift Boat vets, tonight might have been a different story.

I guess there is no possibility that the merit of their story had an effect, regardless of how Kerry might have reacted and denied.

Boom - shame on you. Surely you don't think failure is the personal fault of ANY Dem. do you?

"W" 3 million+ national vote margin. Perhaps he should hire Hillary, she is a lawyer and wanted to do away with electorial college. And she is the smartest woman in America.....

Hey I got a couple of Springsteen tickets for his next concert in Paris.... :D

How true, Dogsdad. Sad, but true. At least the individual polling precincts went above and beyond to keep the shinanagans out of the vote.
Now, if only we could keep Edwards' buds out of the process, by 8AM, we could have a decission.

Let us depend on the media for what this all really means. When I see FOX declares a winner, I wonder how much a single vote means. FOX is a bloody Television network. Maybe I-boats should declare a winner too. That is one I could live with. Hey? has Pee Wee Herman declared yet??

I'm glad it's over too. I saw nothing in the last 4 years that would have changed my mind about how I voted in 2000.
At least with a football game it's all over in 2 or 3 hours and your team lost or won.
It's time now to get on with business.
Or get the lawyers involved.
EDIT: It's over & we can move on.

You guys looking forward to lawyer bashing will have to find something else to so. Kerry conceded.

of course, if W had lost, then the noble repubs would have just gone quietly into that night, right? THEY would NEVER hire LAWYERS or whine about their losses, would they?

Kerry of course in his naivete has asked W to work harder to be a "uniter", but we know that won't happen. If the repubs could read a split decision like 2000 as a "mandate", they'll look at this election as a coronation. All of us socialists and perverts and other non-Bush supporters will be summarily ignored and shut out if we're lucky, rounded up and shot in the back of the head if we're not. there will be no "uniting".

What was that woodrat? I wasn't listening! :D ;) :p

Just kidding there buddy!

And I hope you are wrong. I personally would not have wanted the repub party to do the lawyer thing if it was the other way around, and I do hope that both sides of the isle can be more civil now. But it is also a mandate for BOTH sides to take a more serious look at the conservative moral values that many in this country hold dear. We can be open and inclusive, but don't lock us out in the process.

I find that totally laughable, Woodrat. Kerry tells Bush he has to "heal" the wounds and close the divide that he and his fellow Democrates have created.

America has spoken. Bush won in Ohio by a bigger margin than John Kennedy won the entire nation. He was the first President to get over 51% of the popular vote since 1988. The last Democratic President to do so was Jimmy Carter.

And as I suspected, the Dems are out there doing their best to minimize the impact of this election.

Re: Boy, Am I Glad the Campaign and Election are OVER!

The division in America since 9-11 was created by none other than the democratic party which was so desparate for campaign issues that they synthesized all this crap about Iraq. And, I might add, with total disregard for how it would affect the war effort and our prestige and power abroad...not to mention how many more young Americans would die in Iraq as a result.

However, I will give Kerry credit for not turning the election into a surreal drama like Al Gore did in 2000 (at least not YET).

America should be in the state it was on 9-12, and it is up to the left to get their heads back on straight in order to get there.

-dd-

Well, in 4 years, let's just take a look at the track record and see where we stand. Who knows what will happen to our country in 4 years...at least I know it won't be handed over to some terrorist group at a Conference table by a lily-livered liar...

Spratt.. Yall'...

The terrorists won on the day that the dept. of Homeland security was created, and the day the Patriot act and took effect.... They suceeded in changing our way of life... Both, homeland security, and the patriot act were bi-partisan endevours done in the "9-12" state of mind....

So, in a sence, the country has already been handed over to terrorists by a whole bunch of bi-partisan "lily-livered liars"....
:(

I'm glad it's over too..

There there. It will be ok. You still can make a political football out of US foriegn affairs until 2008.
Here's a tissue made from from old Florida punch cards from 2000....Now dry your eyes and blow.
Now, just to ease your pain, I fully intend to give attournies a rough road, just not while they are playing "Commander in Chief".

well I am glad its over too. It was getting so I did not even want to come on this board and have to sort thru all the political junk that was going on. And this was my favorite place on the internet, now maybe we can get back to normal.

What the heck do I care, 12? the dems will be just as eager to shoot me in the back of the head as the repubs, maybe even more so!

the "adults" have spoken? they elected maybe the most childish fratboy that has ever "led" the nation! Say what you like about kerry, really, but he was obviously the adult of the two main candidates. And proved it by conceding quickly, something most of you never thought he would do.

No woodrat, Kerry's concession proved nothing except that he has far more class than Albert Gore. For that I give him credit, though I must admit that at first I thought we were going to see another psychotic circus. Kerry did show he cares more about the good of the country than Gore did.

-dd-
