Bow fix

While teaching the wife how to dock, had this little mishap.

I've never done any fibreglass or gelcoat work before. What's the best way to fix?

you can get some white marine tex, and patch it up. thats a bad a## bump. did she learn there are no brakes.

You can also get a gel coat repair, some come with a few pigments so you can tint it to the color of your boat. You can purchase them at hardware, marine, auto parts and other stores.

But do I go with Marine Tex, or a gel coat kit???

For a patch that big and in that spot you'll want to be sanding it down to match the surrounding area.

Ever tried to sand marine tex?

What boat and year are your pics from ?

Ive never seen a bow configuration like this.

PS. No rubrail damage ? are you sure it didnt float up on the dock ?
