Re: Bought another toy, (Pics) UPDATED AGAIN!

Well, I might as well just keep on with the progress as it happens for those that are interested.

I worked untill 9 Oclock Saturday night.

cleaned front brakes up and cleaned brake cylinders and repacked the bearings, moved to the rear, and found the axle seals leaking, (What a mess), pulled the axles and installed new seals, new rear brakes and wheel cylinders. Then I notice there is a puddle of oil under the tailshaft of the trans, So, off comes the driveshaft and a new tailshaft seal is installed. Wow, the universal joints are fine, so I grease them and reassemble everything. New brake master cylinder also, I have no Idea what was stopping the car when I drove it home.

So, wheels are back on but it is still up on stands, there are just a couple things I want to do under the car before I set it down.

The beat goes on.

Well, tonight I just changed the oil, Dello 400 15W-40 and a 2 quart filter, and rplaced the little 6" fuel line that goes from the tank to the fuel line with an inline filter. Man, what was keeping that little peice of fuel line from leaking Ill never know, It was cracked all over and soft. Shes back on the ground and outside again.

And the beat goes on.

That is quite an eye catcher alright. I've been looking for the right specimen of that exact model for two years. '69 was THE year for Chevys.

I have a '64 camino that will be going on the aution block soon.
It has a rebuilt 350 froma '73 Camino and rebuilt 350 tranny.
It's white on white and was a factory 6 cylinder car.
Still has the 6cylinder rear end under it and needless to say, it's quite fast.
Needs newer style brakes though. Don't want to stop real good.

Stop, who needs to stop???

Gutted the doors inside, and cleaned and relubed everything, now the doors will open from the inside, thats a good thing. Trying to track down a left brake light and turn signal short somewhere, Its not in the column where I figured it to be, so Im still tracing. Put the hood grills in the SS hood.

And the beat goes on!

Well tonight I manufactured seat brakets for the 94 Grand Prix buckets so they will just bolt right in when I lay the carpet, that took some thinking! Also ran the wires for the power seat.

Wow, October 21 was the last post.

Actually not a lot done since then either.

Tore the whole dash out and cleaned and detailed it all. Installed a tack in the place where the clock would have gone if it had one, looks like it grew there. This Saterday, I installed a new headliner, (interesting job) Looks great though, and its down hill from here. Carpet seats, and door panels and the interior is finished, Detailing the engine compartment is next.

Keeping on Keeping on!!
