I need help to figure out the best way to run the cables and wires through the transom. Im going to buy a new kicker motor bracket and it will go pretty much where the old on is now.nj.jpg

I wouldnt go thru the transom.

I would tie the steering to your drive and use a tiller motor

we have a custom cover and its tight. So we cant go over the top of the boat.
what should we use to go through the transom. Of course it would be as high as we can go with the hole.

The new outboard will probably a 4 stroke. If so then just get a bulkhead fitting with a 1/4”npt so that the fuel line can be connected to the outboard fuel hose from a source in the boat. Summit/Jegs has them long enough to go through the transom.
The rig the steering line SD suggested.

that was the plan for the fuel line, that way it cant wear out going through the transom.
