Re: bottom paint

Is this boat going to be kept in the water for long periods of time?

If you're looking to apply a barrier coat prior to coating with antifouling paint then Easypoxy ain't what you're looking for. Interprotect or a few coats of West would be a much better choice. Top with an aluminum safe antifouling paint and enjoy a trouble free bottom.

no i must have explained my self wrong. im doing a full restoration and painting the hull is on my list. i know top coat paint cant be underwater for more than a day or two so i wanted to paint from the water line down with bottom paint. im just trying to find out if there is a way to figure out about where the water line is going to be with out dunking the boat.

How long do you plan to leave it in the water at any one time? Up to a week you're probably good with even topside paint.

Without a set of hull line drawings, which you'll never find for a runabout, you'll have to dunk it.
