Bottom 2 cylinders intermittent...

:confused:Okay guys... I'm no mechanic, but I have figured out my bottom 2 cylinders are not firing properly! Here's my symptoms:

My engine is a 1982 Mercury 50 HP (Thunderbolt Ing) 4 cylinder, 2 stroke. No power tilt/trim.

Eng will start and rev up to what seems to be normal RPMs (no tach)
When I reduced the idle lever, the engine seems to idle rather low and have to be pretty quick to come up with throttle.
I can get engine to run in gear, but sometimes I have to really nurse the throttle up until the engine catches up...
Engine never revs to full RPMs (under load) and seems to want to bog down when I turn (either direction).
After running, I feel the spark plug and top 2 plugs are too hot to touch (at least for very long...) the 2 bottom plugs seem barely warm. I can hold my finger on them without burning myself.

So, do I drag it put of the lake and take it to a mechanic, or is there something realtively simple I'm overlooking?

Oh yeah... I get a continuous beeping from the control quadrant (the part with the switch and throttle control) as long as the ignition switch is on... got any idea why? (it's a quicksilver unit)

You need to do a test on the Ign. system, heres the CDI test.
