We're going to let the Caravelle hang for a while, but it set up really well. I'm doing a ranger now that the owner tried to do a flake job with a brush.

Sprayed the Ranger today. Stupid tape lifted on the last color. Beave touched up the fender freehand with a brush while I did the stripe on the boat starboard. My hand aren't steady enough to freehand that stuff, but the boat only needed a bit of touch up to the black, so I taped it up.
It worked out in the end though.

You didn't spot my goof then. I didnt either until this morning.

Edit: I just looked at the pics again. You can't see it without the pics of it before. In the first one, that tape under the red was supposed to be peeled off so I could clear down to the edge. Now I have to touch that up.

I replaced the bolt on his trailer boat latch thing. I've never seen one so bad.

I started on a Nitro yesterday. Poor boat has had it rough. It came in sitting on a trailer bracket, fenders are loose at rhe middle and back, damage all over the bottom. I got most of it ground yesterday, glassed today.

I wonder what clued the owner that it needed fixing?

Water in boat = bad.

I sprayed most of it yesterday. I had a few areas where two colors met that I had to scuff theedge of the first and spray the second today.

I actually have silvers at the blends of this just from wiping the gummy stuff off. Not a great start.

Same spot, because I was trying to keep it small, I laid another line of back tape to keep the flake away from the top blend. I should have used some tape to try to take out the line a bit, but didn't think of that until after. Hopefully that spot cleans up well enough.







Whit on top of the clear. No worries there, it'll sand off. I started some sanding today. For stuff that kept setting up in the gun, it didn't set up well on the surface. Annoying. Also, junked my siphon gun, piece of crap never sprayed well and I finally got tired of it.
