Nope lol that's not the setup mine has, but it's basically half that so probably impossible huh?
Seems like they'd gave thought that through better lol

The Y pipe is one of those things that they actually did a pretty good job on. Since it is underwater, if it fails your boat sinks. You don't hear of that happening. The inconvenience is less than most things related to boats'.

Thanks for that manual page! That'll come in handy.
So UPDATE-
Ran it without the drive today, sure as crap still leaking hot water 😱
Looks like we'll be yanking the engine... smh
I'm gonna use the tow truck boom to pull it, easy peasy.
BUT, I'll need some help from y'all how to properly pull engine. I've pulled a couple before but it was only to part the boat out, so I wasn't very cautious and cut some lines etc to get it out...obviously can't do that with this one lol

My questions will be about engine alignment and to I pull the mount from the stringers, or leave the mount and unbolt the motor from it?
Any manual pages on removing 3.7 engine? lol

unplug the main harness , fuel line, control cables, grounding connections, battery cables.
sometimes its best to remove the 4 lags in the front mount

Thanks that's pretty much what I was figuring. I think I can pull it in less than an hour...I'm a auto mechanic also so I'm good with this type thing just some stuff different with native applications. Lol

Can someone explain this alignment stuff? That I'm lost about.
Also is there any way to check alignment without buying tool?

some have uses a NEW input shaft to check it but an alignment tool is the best way.

Amazon has it for $45 from heartland and a whole set of tools (hing pin tool, exhaust bellow tool, etc) for $139. Unless you have all your maintenace done by a shop, you will need these tools.

I am not sure it's worth renting. A new one is 26 bucks, 62 for the one with bearing and seal installer(well worth the cost!). I bought the later and it's good quality. The alignment bar fits tighter in the splines than the input shaft giving better alignment. While an input shaft may fit easy, it could still leave you with some vibration.

Thanks, don't know a machine shop personally so it'd prolly be more than $30 range y'all say I can get one for lol
I'm gonna search around today to try and find one locally. I'm also gonna go unhook the engine and get ready to pull it.

UPDATE- Motors out, took about 45-50 mins to have it on the ground, and 15 min of that was removing a stubborn fuel line clamp that was crammed in a tight spot and at the wrong angle for screwdriver lol

Sssooo.....forgot who said it but someone called it earlier in thread.... CORRODED EXHAUST FLANGE!
bottom "ear" corroded where bolt goes through and on the "sealing" side had a corrosion spot.
Wasn't terrible, but plenty enough to make it leak!
So, I don't think you can weld/repair corrosion on cast so I'm in the market for a clean used elbow.
Local boat salvage yard prolly has a bunch I could search through but they don't re-open until Monday.
I think the lower exhaust elbow fits 2.5, 3.0 & 3.7 if I'm not mistaken.
So should be one floating around.

Bad part is, I was SOO ready to slap some fresh seals in and 're-install motor by Monday...looks like it may be Tuesday at earliest now.
Thanks so much for everyone's help and giving me the courage to complete this job.

Pulling motor was simple as all heck. Fuel line, throttle and shift cable, exhaust bellow at riser, unplug main wiring harness, 6 engine mount bolts and I removed power steering pump and laid to the side because lines were old and rusty going into steering cylinder and I knew they'd leak if I touched them. The other side was just rubber hoses that came right off.
So for anyone else daunted by this task, don't be! As long as your handy with a wrench, it's not bad at all.
Best of all, I finally got to get the dirt, rust scales, leaves and oily craps out of the bilge! This was my favorite part lol
Took me an hour+ just cleaning bilge area.

Anyone want to comment, feel free. And if I think of anything else that could help the next guy, I'll post it later. For now, I'll repost update when I find a new/used pipe hopefully Monday. Thanks again to all!

UPDATE-
Bought replacement exhaust elbow used at local salvage yard for $50! Not bad at all
Put new seal on it, dropped motor in, hooked everything back up, 're-installed outdrive with all new seals and fired it up! Purrs like a kitten and guess what...NO LEAKS! LOL

I hauled butt and cleaned up tools, hooked it up to truck n headed to the boat ramp!
Dropped it in and stared at bilge for what seemed like an hour lol (10min max) and not a drop!
Started it and let it run for another 10 mins or so...still staring at bilge. No leaks!

Took it for a 30 min cruise and all was well...so I'm happy to report everything went perfect.
Thanks to everyone that helped, I appreciate it.
