boat floor plans

i have a 77 glasstron carlson cvx16 i am trying to restore... can anyone tell me where i could get a floor plan for it... i think the floor has been replaced before so i not sure if they did it right... i would like to make it right... thanx ...

k. i'll give that a try thanx... sorry i didn't get back to you sooner but this thing never sent me an email saying i had a reply... i probly forgot to click it lol.....do you happen to know how the center 2x4 in the hull attaches and how to get it out and another in??

I'm assuming the 2x4 you speak of is the stringer/floor support? It is most likely bedded and/or (somewhat) glassed in. Mine was rotted so it ripped right out.

You most likely will need to cut the fiberglass along the bottom part of the stringer with a grinder that holds it in place. It should come out afterward but if it's bedded in, you might need to take a chisel to complete the task (unless you're really good with a grinder). After most or all of it is out, then grind/sand down smooth being careful not to go too deep. You then would be ready for a new stringer, that is if you don't need to replace anything else i.e. transom, core, etc.

Just an FYI, you could probably use two pieces of 3/4" ply glued together for a stringer.
