Boat cover waterproofing

Trying to figure out a safe waterproofing spray to use on my "older" but still in good shape polyester boat cover. Made the mistake of buying 2 gallons of Starbrite waterproofing (bogo 1/2 off sale), only to find out that solvent based products should not be used on polyester. (I know, should have done my research) Anyone know if 303 Fabric Guard would be safe to use? I am trying to get a couple more years out of this cover, she's faded but in relative good condition.

Ideally you want some UV protection as well as waterproofing. I am not sure the 303 gives that. If not, I would use some generic scotchguard product, as the price is much lower.

Contact the mega of the material itself, they should know best....be careful as some products make the material waterproof while others make the material water resistant.....big difference !

Ayuh,..... Back when I had a sunbrella top, I bought camp dry to treat it,.....
After reading the can, which said it's 100% silicone, I started buying spray cans of 100% silicone at my local Napa for 'bout 1/2 the cost,.....
