Blue Sea Add A Battery 120 AMP PN 7650

Hi, is there anyone that can draw me a diagram so that I can install my Add A Battery system on my 2008 Tahoe Q6? If possible make it a "for dummies" version please and thanks. :facepalm:

Here is a drawing for one. It will take more details about your boat for things like wire sizes, lengths of cables, fuse sizes etc.
I have no clue what a 2008 Q6 is or how it's wired.

Thanks for the reply Don...
The boat is bone stock. What wire sizes would you need? The only cables are the ones attached to the battery from the factory. Not sure about fuses? I also noticed in your picture that you have a circuit breaker and two inline fuses but the directions from Blue Sea say nothing about needing either??

Have you looked at page two of the instructions? It explains the wire sizes and fuse sizes needed.

That diagram is all wrong Throw it away.

The ACR is wired on the wrong side of the switch. It should be on the battery side of the switch.
The cable coming from his ACR to the starter is also wrong. It should come off the battery switch, not the ACR.

Yes, maybe not the ones that I have pictured, but you do need a fuse or circuit breaker where shown.

You should all ready have a fuse or breaker where I show the 30A breaker going to your helm fuse panel.

Ok, what size fuses go between the ACR and the batteries?

I sure do appreciate your help and quick replies. I plan on doing this project very soon and will follow up with how it went.

Stand by though I am sure I will have more questions,

What engine and alternator do you have? The alternator is what determines the size of the fuse from the engine to the ACR.

I will put numbers on a diagram and post it, then when you have a question about a specific item you just have to post the number of it.

Jeez man, you are awesome!!
I am not sure of the alternator size but the engine is a 4.3 Merc. I will look when I get home and let you know the Alt size so I can get numbers 6 and 8 taken care of. Thanks again!!

If you have the OEM alternator, it should be the 65A Delco. So the 80A Maxi Fuses should work fine for 6 and 8.

No, and I'm not going to start. It's all just stuff I have dealt with for years.
The drawings are easy part. I can move things around and do anything I want with them.
Even stir them up with a big spoon.
