The wife and daughters were on a three way phone call lining up their shopping on Black Friday. (Going to KC) I was gong to poke fun of it but decided that as I'd like a Thanksgiving meal keeping my yap shut was in order. :)

Me, I'll be laid out on the couch watching the tube and eating left overs with the boys. :D

Shopping is a girl thing, Bubba. They love it as much as we love a good cigar and fine Scotch whiskey.

This sorta ties in, I just turned on the Christmas lights on the house tonite! Before you shoot the messenger, I just put them up today. Was sunny, no wind and in the 40's. Beats putting them up in blowing snow which I've done. Going to keep them on for a couple of hours just to get a chuckle. Then they go off until 12/1. There should be a law, no lights before 12/1...........................:)

My Black Friday shopping is going to consist of going to Lowes and pick up some more $15 Mag Lite LED flashlights. Fortunately, Lowes isn't a madhouse like Best Buy is going to be although the Sharp 42" LCD TV for $199 is tempting as a second TV.

And no Christmas music in stores until then too. Used to be Thanksgiving is when they started. Now its Halloween!

Black Friday is one of my favorite days of the year, laying on the couch dozing in and out of consciousness with football on the tube, leftover Turkey and stuffing in the fridge and not a woman in sight!!

Sounds a little like heaven at times.....

good call bubba
Mrs. Bubba refuses to go "shopping" with me because according to her I don't "shop". I find what I want and head for the door. She says I take all the fun out of it. I didn't know there was any to be had.
right on man. that's exactly where i stand too. my 'ol lady says the exact same thing too.
shopping is about at the bottom of my list of things i like to do. except in the boat store... :D

Dammit. I don't want to know about that stuff! (la la la hands on ears la la la). We're finishing our basement and that TV would go great down there! But I don't want to camp out at Best Buy!

Man are you spot on with that one JB. Mrs. Bubba refuses to go "shopping" with me because according to her I don't "shop". I find what I want and head for the door. She says I take all the fun out of it. I didn't know there was any to be had. And certainly no where as much fun as a good Scotch!!!

My bride would consider you a saint Bubba!

When she takes me shopping I act out.

Usually I sing real loud (and off key). Run into the racks, knock stuff off. Make random noises like YIP, WOOO, or BLIB!

So, she doesn't take me but about once or twice a year.

Works great for both of us:D

I agree!...Shopping is to the girls what fishing is to the guys....it's all about just "being out there"!;)

Black Friday should be moved to a warmer time of year so the guys can go boating while the women shop all day. :)

Am I the only one that can't believe people would be living in tents outside a BestBuy since Tuesday night in order to save a few hundred dollars on a TV set?

I went one year, starting at Menards.

People were cutting in the long line, but I did end up getting a $70 shop-vac, for $27.

Woo-hoo.
