These first 3 show it in the stored position.
Pretty much out of the way for fishing bow or stern.
I run at speed with it in this position.
The top is 8' long, a little over 6' 8" tall.

Here it is deployed in the "stored" position.
Gives the best coverage in the stern area, but not full coverage.
Also, due to the angle of the rear straps, it is not real stable in this position.
I have only used this for still fishing.

These last two photos show the normal position.
Notice the main bows are slid forward on the gunnel, about 30", up along side the center console.
And the front support poles are secured to a second set of bases, closer to the bow.
This still gives the front person ample room to fish off the bow or to either side, but the support poles do restrict casting a little.
I think the slider bases are available up to 4' in length.

Bimini looks real good Roscoe, don't know if it will work for you but on my S/C's I made rear straps that crossed, triangulating the top and making it more stable. It limits being able to fish out the back but opens the rear sides up a little. JMTC

I have looked at ways to make it a bit more stable.
It moves around quite a bit when hitting wakes or rough water.

Thought about bringing the two straps together in the center, then running one strap down to the splash well, but it would hit both the rear seat, and the main motor when tilted up.

I am currently working on adding a brace to the front bow tube.
It will attach on the top port side of the tube, and angle down and in, attaching to the center console.

I use the port side of the center console for cooler and rod storage, so I can't walk through on that side anyway.

Oh, and I only deploy the top when it is brutally hot, or if I am fishing in an all day rain. So, not very much.

I am using these quick release pins on the mounts.
Makes moving, or completely removing the top a snap.

It looks like to me that you have things backwards roscoe. You would gain stability to the bimini if you put the rear support poles in the rear and then stretched the straps forward. I can see the top dipping down in the back and that should be forward.

The main attachment on mine is on the side or vertical part of the gunwale. My front supports were on the vertical part also. I moved the front supports to the top of the gunwale a couple years ago. Doing so lessened the side sway considerably.
