Man it's tough buying a used galvanized or aluminum trailer here. Closest I came to was one galvanized one, but only 24' total, and 7000# gross, plus the two I told you guys earlier.

I probably end up buying new, which I don't really want to for my first boat just yet.

For salt water, aluminum is better than galvanized, right?

Yes, as I mentioned during your search, good used trailers are scarce and fetch such a premium, it is often better/easier to buy a new one. Been there, done that.

Galvanized is fine for salt as is aluminum. The advantage of aluminum is less weight.

It's hard buying any big-boat trailer here.

I'd go aluminum if possible. Even if you sell your trailer in a year it's going to be worth more.
