Maybe a thread on stuff to add and not add on Browsers.
Have read many times about add blockers and installed UBlock and so far it's been great. For those that go to sites like OSO the add's go off the deep end IMO. After adding UBlock, there all gone.

I'm using Fire fox and using its password manager but have an issue when updating a PW. Will use the auto generate for the new, but most the time it won't ask if I want to update. Therefore I have to remember to copy it, log out and back in for it to do it. Anyone using other APP's for this and others?

I use the ad-blocker on firefox, however I do not store any passwords on any password manager.

I have an old-school written list of passwords.

Use three add-ons with FF (see below), Greesemonkey blocks sites from detecting/knowing your blocking their adds.(some sites will shut you off from (or slow) their content if they know your blocking their adds)

Also yes for my PC's and phones, I use Norton's VPN service (running mostly naked now with this old XP laptop, it won't run some of those things), but I can always, and usually do remote connect this ole XP machine through and into any of my Win7/10 systems (6 at work and 2 here at home) that all have been configured as indicated......I can select tunnels through servers around the world, e.g., the iboats servers only know my connection is coming from the Netherlands as my local IP address is stripped off back at Norton's servers (you'll have to trust your VPN provider won't give you up, I'm not into hacking so I'm good with Norton).....

Have not heard of Greesemonkey, might look into that one

I find a PW manager is so much easier and also keeps me from reusing the same parts of a PW in different places. While FF keeps my list synced up on all computers I use, I do wonder how secure it is, they say it is

Ghostery is one that helps prevent sites from tracking you.
it’s pretty interesting to see the little text in the corner, some sites are nuts with trackers.
