I recently purchased a quicksilver bello’s kit to replace the old worn out bellows on my 1990 Siri Sundancer. I understand the big bellows are for the U joints in the shift Bellows, but I guess my question is why do I have 2 exhaust bellows in the picture?

One is an exhaust tube the other is the bellows. The tube was originally to reduce back pressure on the bigger engines. Tube is much easier to install fwiw.

Some folks swear by the tube due to ease of installing. I did not find the exhaust bellows too difficult to install if you have the expander tool

Well I don’t so it looks like I will be using the tube, LOL. are there any advantages to using the Bellows over the tube?

I think its more personal preference, I have no personal experience using the tube but I could see on plane and trimmed up it making more noise, probably depends on what engine how you trim it etc.

I can say this my boat with torn exhaust bellows was no louder than non torn so I can't see it being that big a deal noise wise.

Since your kit came with both Install the tube, you can always pull the drive and put the bellows on if there is an issue. Also by the time you get down to installing the exhaust bellows you are so pissed off at everything mercruiser the tube is probably a better bet.... For a number of reasons, mostly self inflicted, it took me two weekends to do the job

Yeah, when I did my bellows job, the drive side of the exhaust bellows popped off not long after the install.
I looked at it and decided to just leave it since the whole job was just a pita even with all the proper tools.
I don't notice any difference in sound or performance, but my engine is a 4.3 L V6, not a big V8.

My previous boat 350 v8 had a tube and it gave a nice sounding exhaust note especially below 1500 rpm.. I want to put a tube on my current boat..
