Bellow sleeve installation

Hi Guys;

Getting ready to install drive bellows sleeve and i would like to clean the old adheisive off the bellows and gimbal housing ( aft end of bellows). It is still attached at the other end. What would remove the glue without damaging the rubber?

While trying to pull the gimbal bearing, the slide hammer slipped and caught the sleeve and knocked it out. The bellows is fine and there was no water in the bellows when I remove the drive.

Lacquer Thinner or 3M adhesive remover. Carb cleaner works too
