HI all! Thought I'd post some pics of this thing before it gets all spruced up. I want to stress that I had nothing to do with the atrocious blue colour. This is how I got the thing...... price $0.00 Invested so far $53.00 in parts $14.00 on a service manual that's taking forever to get here!!!! It's a 1965 Evinrude 9.5hp Sportwin......I can't wait for the water around here to soften up!!!

That is a very good motor if it was taken care of.

The 1965 9.5 Evinrude started life with a much darker blue color: http://old-omc.de/e_1965/seite_17.jpg

You can make that look like new with good primer and paint from this site: http://www.nymarine.ca/colours.html

Or order from your dealer who can look up the exact color.

Hey guys, yeah it seems like this motor was fogged given a light coat of grease or oil, and thrown in a dry shed for 35 years! Thanks for the tip on the paint......right now I'm 50/50 as to going all original paint, or a drab olive or camo for hunting. We'll see. Take care
