Beeping noise

I have a 1997 Mercury 40HP motor. It makes a beeping noise and after researching I thought it was due to the oil filter float sensor. I took out the oil filter sensor and fixed the float but it still makes a beep noise after riding for 10 minutes. What could be the issue and how can I diagnose the problem?

Try it with one of the oil tank sensor wires disconnected. This will help isolate the issue. With a wire disconnected, does the alarm still sound? If not you still have a problem with the sensor. If so, then it's something else like an overheat sensor or an alarm module.

I disconnected the blue wires to the oil sensor tank and also there were brown wires to the oil sensor module and it still made noise. It seems to occur when starting the boat in slow speeds and then once I get paste the wake are 10 minutes later I increasing the throttle and it starts beeping.

Have you checked the impeller? It will also throw warning beeps if it's over heating. Check the thermostat too!
