Re: bearing question

I'm guessing that the Seat, in the hub, that the seal sits in is pitted,.... That's a little on the Loose side,.......
You Should have to tap them in with a sealdriver,.............

IF the Bearings are Properly Packed,..........

Just a light coating of Grease on Everything Else,.. Is Plenty of Grease,.........

If you Pack the Hub Full,..... You're Wasting Grease,+ Nothing Else................

Re: bearing question

After years and years of not packing hubs and then years and years of packing them I get superior bearing life with packed hubs. Packing the hubs full of grease keeps water out better than not packing them...it's that simple. It takes less than 5 minutes to pack a hub and costs little. I typically pack two hubs with one $3-$4 tub.
