What is the trick to access the four bearing carrier bolts on a 1970 60 hp Evinrude type V electric shift lower unit? I can get two of them out but the remaining two are so close to the outside wall that a thin wall socket will not go over the bolt head.
Any and all suggestions are welcome.
Thanks

I know that I've had those apart in the past, with no special sockets.

Thanks to all who replied. A special thanks to hardwater fisherman as his tip turned out to do the trick. Many thanks.
Now to pull the bearing carrier.
