G'day,
I've owned a bayliner 212 for the past couple of years. I would like to get a propeller that will enable it to plane quicker.
With 1-2 people in the boat it gets out of the water quickly add a couple more and it struggles.
I think it has the original alloy prop. Once up the boat cruises perfectly.
1) Performance issue you are trying to correct.
slow to plane with more than 2 people, quicker to pull wake-boarder up.
2) Current prop manufacturer, model, aluminum or stainless as a minimum.
original, alloy
3) Current prop diameter and pitch (required).
no idea. The prop is anti-fouled and I can't see any numbers but I think it's original. Can anyone provide me this information? I've googled etc but can't find the exact specs
4) Wide open throttle RPM and speed with an average load (very helpful)
5000 rpm,
5) Engine/drive make, model, year, and HP
Mercruiser 5ltr MPI, 260hp 2005
6) Boat make model, year, length and weight
Bayliner 212 2005 approx 3200 pounds
Thanks in advance.... props cost so much I'm trying not to make the wrong decision.
BTW I'm from Lake Macquaire Australia.
