This forum has been a great resource for getting my motor running very well...now I am looking for some feedback on setup. I'm not getting the rpm's I would like and want to get the ideal engine height before swapping props since I seem to be way low based on other setups.

1993 Dynatrak 181 STE - 18 ft - weight approx 2300 lbs ---hull 1150, motor 400, 1/2 tank gas 100, people ~350, batts 120, and misc around 200. All of this is a guess via google and other feedback so I might be slightly off but the boat is usually loaded fairly light

Motor is Johnson 150 Fast Strike GLETR

motor is set ~5.25 below pad - measured by leveling boat and then leveling motor, measuring floor to pad, and floor to center of prop shaft - this is my biggest concern since I see most guys around 3-3.5"

5 inch setback on manual jackplate. I've got about 1.5 inch left to the top and I could raise the motor up to the top hole which looks to gain about 3/4. So I've got 2.25 to work with I think

prop is raker 14.5 x 26 p...model # 394756 - I would really like to make this work and get the ideal engine height before looking at new props if possible

I'm working on getting better numbers but I have a hard time getting to 5000 rpms and feel like I have to trim pretty high. Rooster tail is maybe to mid cowling. Max speed via gps so far is 52 but I had it on the river yesterday and it felt a bit faster but I didn't have the gps handy.

Any initial thoughts or other things you would like me to measure? I would really appreciate any feedback you guys might have!!!
