Finding alot of 1 piece rear main seal motors not alot of 2 piece unlees they have been ragged on. Whats the difference? Does it matter?
What all will I end up swapping over from my motor to the new one?

Finally found a motor that I think should be suitable for the. What all do I need to swap over?

intake manifold, cylinder heads if they are different, ignition, water pump and put brass freeze plugs in.. FWIW, 2 piece crankshaft seal is 1955-1986 SBC. 1987- on was one piece crankshaft seal and I'm pretty sure the parts do not interchange because the cranks are different.. 2 bolt, 4 bolt does not matter. 4 bolt has a bit more strength if your pounding gears with a manual transmission but totally unnessasary with a boat as the only shock load is shifting in and out of gear at idle.

Only head gasket in a bottle that I have ever had that works is the sodium silicate ( water glass ) based products and following the directions 100% is required to make them work. Don't see how it could work in a marine engine with raw water cooling.
