Due to a job loss, we were forced to sell our Lowe FM165, in 04'. We have been boat-less since. We do have a small farm pond, so I have been searching for a cheap, aluminum jon boat, but have been putting it off, waiting for a good deal, or to pay for other needed farm items.

Heading to a couple of farm auctions today, the wife says "Buy yourself a boat for father's day!" Ok, but I was feeling a little uneasy about having to going off the deep end, just to fulfill my gift "request". People tend to get way carried away, bidding on older boats at auctions.

I would have been happy with just a jon boat, but I waited out to the very end of the auction, and picked up this beauty, for about what the boat is worth, with the trailer and motor thrown in free. ;) I now have a boat for the pond and for nearby lakes.

Here she is. ;)

Re: Back into Boating!

The enjoyment of boating is from being on the water.
The boat is only a utility to aid in the effect.

Looks like you got a good one, so have a good time with it!
