Using Chrome, no adblocker ... my vote is the "specialness" of Musky ... does he even know what a back arrow is????? :tongue:eep:

Thanks Tony. I tried reloading it, no difference.....

Wim, try turning off adblocker for this site and see if that cures it. Click the little red dot in the address bar and it will show a check box for Enabled for this site. Click and empty the check box.

I had this happening on another site (rivals.com, lots of ads) after I installed adblock. I would have to click the Back button 2 or 3 times to get to the previous page. Sometimes 2, sometimes 3, but mostly 3. I turned off adblock for that site and the problem went away. It appeared to me that in the process of blocking the ads, multiple copies of the current page were being opened. For awhile I was right-clicking the back button and select the third item on the list which would get me to the previous page. I finally just turned adblock off for that site.

However, I never encountered that problem on iboats so who knows.

Oh yeah, I'm using Chrome on an XP machine. I also use Chrome on my Windows 7 machine and did NOT encounter the problem there. Maybe kind of an XP thing.

Hey bassman,

Same machine as what I'm using. Turning it off for this site didn't help. Sometimes it would work after one click, other times 2 or 3 and still others it wouldn't go back a page. I did find out that if I "double" click the back button it will go back one page every time no matter if I'm enabled or not. But, only one page even if I click the arrow again......

Other forums I can can go back a page every time I click the arrow until I get to Chromes home page.......

EDIT: I removed Adblock Plus from Chrome and still have the same issue. But, only on this forum...

Been having the same issue here, using Win7 and IE9.

The problem I'm seeing seems to be when going from one forum to another. As when going back from Trailers and Towing to Boat topics or which ever forum was previous.

The back button seems to work fine within a same forum. Such as moving back and forth within one forum group. I find that I have to hit the back button several times before I will get any activity and then the page will change.

Seem that this has just started recently, say in the last 1.5 months

Today it is doing it again for me in Chrome with and without Adblock enabled. In Firefox it is working fine with and without Adblock.

As I recall I wasn't having any issues until all the share buttons were added.

I have been having the same problem for a few months now as Tony knows and my Back Button gets cluttered with Facebook entries:

This is the only site where i have this problem and as bonz says, it appears to be connected to the share buttons timing.

Sorry but that trick never works,

If I stay within one forum catagory then one click back works. Trying to back click to another cat I sometimes have to hit back button 5 or 6 times before it shows activity on the tab.

I've gotten used to it but it is distracking. Once I hit the back button so many times I backed right out of the website!

I was just asking for "testing" purposes, that tells me that something is refreshing the page 3 times. Now just have to figure out what is causing the page to refresh. For some reason I can't seem to duplicate this error, I am using chrome as well.

Yeah that looks like what I used to get on rivals.com - multiple copies of the current page. I still get that if I turn Ad Block on for that site. Not saying AdBlock is necessarily the culprit here, but it was there. Since I have AD Block enabled for iboats and I have never encountered this problem here, I guess I have to assume something else is causing it, but the effect is the same. For some reason, when you open a page, multiple copies of it get stored in history.

Appreciate the help guys, this one is definitely tricky. I haven't been able to duplicate the issue on my laptop either. I've read many places that AdBlock has been causing this exact issue. But if some of you don't have AdBlock, then I'm not sure what it could be. I'll continue to look at possible causes.

Again I myself am using Win7, IE9, Avast upto date with IE in Protected Mode. No Adblock.
