I have a tandem 6500 GWV that I want to replace the 2x2 axles. The overall length is
89 inches. The repair shop wants to put a pair of 90 inch axles on, saying the center to center of the springs is the same, so the overhang will only be 1/2 inch on each side.
This won't cause any problem with the fenders. What other issues do I have to be
concerned with? everything else matches up--weight, etc. Thanks.
