Did anyone see that idiot from S&S logging (river loggers) pulling his toon and it coming off the hitch after his kid latched it to the ball w/ no safety chains on a brand new ??? customized logging toon? Man that guy never cesus to amaze me on his ability to screw himself and to think his son had a chance to learn from someone with a better track record in the biz and goes back to s&s to become more uneducated in the trade. But I guess every good show has it's bozo's

Re: AX Men

Even the camerman knew that the kid did not have it all the way on as he shot that scene a little longer and they kept going back to the hitch as they were driving down the road. Then the ol man is telling him to lift the back of the truck while he gasses it to break the trailer free and Jr. is getting smacked by the trailer. Now that other yahoo with the long barrel 6 shooter had me laughing. When he shot the squirrel from his payloader then stuffed it down his pants it was too much. This was by far one of the best AX men that I have seen in awhile, even if it may be staged I was in tears most of the time. These people are actually allowed to walk around in public,I think.

Re: AX Men

Wait wait wait are you guys talking season 4? If so they did it again? they did it in season 2 although a little different, they were taking a barge out of the water with a toyota 4 runner and the hitch popped off the ball and the barge slid back down the ramp. these guys are pretty much the only reason I watch the show! I have to check the DVR....

Re: AX Men

well it happened again, only wasnt the barge on the ramp, it was a brand new toon/work rig popping off going doen the road. as for the cajun and the squirrel, i believe it was roadkill he came acrosss, as he smelled it to see if it was fresh, and i dont recall him shooting it. he cracks me up, running all out for the forklift, sliding in the mud to get into town for the buyer, or when he wakes up and comences to pop off a few shots out his door before getting out of bed...
i do not think he is staged, no one can actually be acting that naturally...

They sure had it together for that accident waiting to happen. Trying to rip off the duct tape and applying it to the bottle bomb, then just chucking the bomb next to the boat, classic.Kinda hoping it would go off right there, with no one getting hurt of course.

I remember that 1,The man was dieing and all he wanted to do was grab his gun before the CAMERAMAN drove him to the hospital.Sure was funny...This week firing the 44 at the cottonmouth was hilarious as well.

Re: AX Men

I quit watching it long ago.

Logging is a dangerous business, and I understand the need for drama and dramatic effect, but working in the logging industry for years, most participants have worked very hard, and are under much pressure from both industry groups and government to minimize the risks involved, and improve safety records.

I found the show getting more and more sensational, and less and less realistic to the point of being annoying.

It may be that the reality is too boring to make a TV show interesting, but then that would be the goal of all those involved in promoting safety, of which there are many.

Re: AX Men

I really think the trailer popping off was staged. They had cameras set up to film the whole thing. Why else would they have a camera set up to film the tongue of the trailer if they weren't expecting it to pop off. As soon as he hooked it up, I thought it wasn't hooked on right and was just waiting for it to come off.

I can't disagree with you but to be completely honest, after watching those idiots for the last two years nothing is more true then "You can't fix stupid" so I watch to see what they screw up next! Besides, If I were the producer of that show I would have at least FOUR film crews on the S&S guys FULL TIME!!

Re: AX Men

i dont think it was staged. the camera men may have seen it, but they are not allowed to interfere. they stated so in the first season when a loger was standing on anothers shoulders and dropped a glove. the camera crew wasnt allowed even to hand him his gloves. though i think if it is an imediate threat such as a tree falling on the logers they may be able to intefere then.

Re: AX Men

of course it was staged.
I noticed it as he hitched up the trailer as well.
And you notice they did not replay the video from when he first hooked the trailer up?

because if they replayed the video you would see how he clearly set the coupler on top of the ball, and not down on it. then just latched nothing.

they did it for ratings.

Re: AX Men

More then likely it was stages. I too seen where you set it on the ball not seated.

The cameramen are not suppose to interfere, But I would think in a case of safety someone would have seen it. Unless he's just a cameraman and never hooked up a trailer. Perhaps he didn't know? Who knows.
I even told my wife.. This is why we have safety chains... It was a good lesson in what not to do.

Did anyone Tivo this? Should make a video and post it here for a "Not how to hook up a trailer"

I've been watching Axmen for a while. I've been hooked.

Kinda makes a guy cringe everytime someone does anything on that show.
