Automotive clear coat over gel coat?

On my four winns the red gel coat is faded. I can wetsand and buff and it will look nice for a month. Can I do this and then spray a clear coat over it to keep it looking nice?

wetsand and buff....if done correctly......will out last any cc you put on with a once a year buffing/ protectant.

But not even collinite 845 will protect it. 1 month later and it goes back to chalk.

not if its done correctly...the only way to do it requires work...lots of elbow grease....the shine will last years. gellcoat is a fantastic product.....it can be resurfaced....repaired.....smashed against the dock and live.

there are a number of products out there that are made for gellcoat....

i use farecla....the marine,.,,not car.......and also 3m makes some products as well
