i have a newer model rma 500 bilge pump which kicks on when it senses water it works great but occasionally it will stick on like it can get the last bit of water out and will not shut off until you stop power to it, what can i do to make sure it wont stick on when i not attending the boat

this pump does not have a float it has a water sensor that kicks on when water is detected

thanks gulfcoastsurf

Find what is causing it to stick. Is it debris or is the mechanism just sticking. If it's the latter then it sounds like it's time to replace the float.

Re: auto bilge rm500 pump HELP

i think dry lock where it can not put out the last bit of water it make a swooshing sound but if you turn it sideways it will usually drain the water hur the bottom it is in a 13 whaler so the external float is not possible as of limited space i think it could be a hose placement problem any ideas

thanks gcs

Re: auto bilge rm500 pump HELP
