I wouldnt worry about the extra engin cooling up there, If you lived here and were towing in the summer temps of 100*+ it might be a problem.

Gonna disagree 100% with that......<br /><br />1. Regardless of air temperature the extra cooling is necessary....the componets will get hot no matter what.<br /><br />2. Our summers are generaly between 80-100F all summer long......which is when I sure ee plans to use the boat

LMAO - I was going to put this option in there... but didn't want you to feel obligated that you had to come and use my boat... <br /><br />Thanks for the info Bassman. Sean, I tow mine with my wife's '95 GC very frequently. It also has the 4.0, but is AWD. Does pretty well, but as Bassman says, leave the OD off. Ours has the factory tow (that'd be toe for me) pkg. We'll be using the Jeep when we have the get together in June. I towed my boat with it through the Rockies when we bought the boat in '03. That sucked. Other than in mountains, it tows well IMO.

You asked about the power steering componants. Don't worry about that. I would not worry about the cooling system right away either. Take a few short trips in summer and see how it runs. The trailer should not be a hard pull once you get rolling with the exception of hills. See how that goes first. You can wrap a lot of money up in that. if it looks like it will run hot se if you can get a different size pully on the water pump. Turning the pump slower will keep the coolant in the radiator longer, keeping it cooler. That is an old stock car trick we did a lot to run them cooler. <br />I would also wait on the helper springs and see if you need them. They will change your ride and may not be necessary. <br />Adjust your weight on the trailer is it sits too hard on the hitch, but don't get too much weight to the rear. Too much weight shifted off of the tongue and the trailer will whip back and forth too easy.<br />Your engine should be big enough to handle the pull even on long trips. <br />Tranny cooler and see how it goes. You should be fine.<br /><br />Oh yeah, if you pull it a lot change your tranny fluid and filter more often. Every 30,000 or so. When you change this don't just drain it, have it flushed out.
