formula1974, I had oscars at one time in a 40 gal tank. Those fish do get rather large. They ended up dieing though. Between the cat breaking the lid and the kids, they didn't have a prayer. My alge eater was the largest fish on the block though. I didn't measure him, but he was huge. <br /><br />I have been told that oscars get to about 12 inches. They are agressive by nature, so you can only put certain other types of fish in with them.
