Man, you're rippin' through this build!

You're not the 1st person to salvage the original paint from these 80's starcrafts. Well done! :thumb:

Glen (Dozer) saved a similar-era 201SS a few years back.

Wanted a livewell for this boat. original had none
Found a few on craigslist and settled on a 30 gallon beauty
Had to patch prior owners holes with 3m 520 and aluminum scrap plates
Installed a used bilge pump as a pumpout pump
Found brass fittings in the form of rain barrel
connection hoses. Check out the photos

Livewell exterior singed with that Interlux 2 coats roll on

lid made from Advantec covered with matching floor vinyl Nautolex

Hatch Door was from ebay 44 bucks

Stainless lid bolts .

Ready to connect to boat via common garden hose fittings

Hope i can fill it with fish

Next task the bow fishing area

Keep the original layout. and pedestal mount in the floor? Cubbies holes for storage access

Or cover with a full bow deck and install pedestal mount on top the deck? Hatches for storage access....

Thoughts? Pros and cons?

I opted for raised deck, but not up to bow level. Don't trust these old legs up that high lol. Still gave me decent storage underneath.

Livewell to be mounted rear of passenger chair. So I Needed something rear of captain chair

Decided on storage box

Leftover oak flooring, plywood, 6x8 poly carpet from home depot
Piano hinge, $2.00 soffit vent for air circulation , Antiskid strip on top

Sized similiar to livewell

You've got your thread here in the general reso section, makes it a bit tougher for us SC tin heads to find.

Looking good so far :thumb:

Wanted to add some support to front center floor not much there originally with wrap around seats

Used some shower door aluminum channel and a few aluminum mudflaps

Same raw material at the local supply house would have been 35 dollars.

Oh I see, you're talking about the very bottom most deck rather than the elevated next level where in the stock SS it's a bow rider seat.

Hatches on order Similar to live well lid

Have Front Seat base

Will dry fit first before drilling

Bolts vs screws

trolling battery to reside under bow deck port side. helps balance the boat vs chubby captain šŸ˜ƒ
