My dad used to have a nitrous injected 2.4 mercury but this is a very extreme drag race setup and I have not come across anyone else using it on outboards(in person) and I hang around with a go fast crowd. Unless you drag race I wouldn't see the point in a momentary increase in power and the risks seem very high with high compression marine engines.

Nitrous injected 2.4 can be a real demon. Life expectancy usually is measured in minutes, and not a lot of them, but they win races between teardowns.
