make sure you use a peak reading meter made for these ignition systems or a DVA adapter with your regular meter when reading the peak voltages like the manual says other wise they will not match the specs in manual. Take a look at the links in Sparkie's signature for some more info on that

Ok latest update. Ordered new stator got it delivered. Got new puller and with some persuasion got flywheel off. Was ready to replace stator and be done with it all, alas not so easy. The three screws that hold the stator down were all cammed out with no threads left. Holes were oval and useless. Thought about filling and retapping but found new housing on eBay for $25.00 So again here I sit with a bottle of 151 waiting for ups to knock on my door. It's killing me because local fishing report is fantastic for dolphin, cobia and snapper. I may just have to pull the 17' off the freshwater and hit the salt. Will continue after ups comes. Good boating to all. Bruce.

Alright the end of the saga. eBay shipper took forever to ship. Flywheel housing finally arrived. Installed it and new stator. Plugged everything in and charged the battery. She must be happy she started on first crank. Final cost $332.00. (manual, stator, flywheel plate, and new plugs). Now on to better things; wiring radios into ttop, trim tabs, etc. yes as you all know it is never ending.
