Re: Anyone driven into a neighborhood that scared the carp out of them?
Kinda funny hearing about Adams county..Our family has a cottage a few minutes from Castle Rock Lake. Going into town for whatever reason was always a treat. I must say 15-20 years ago that place was just scarry. Now it is somewhat more of a normal town - still pretty strange tho. I do remember a couple years where my Dad wouldn't let us go there because of escaped inmates on the run.
As far as bad experiences, who hasn't gotten turned around in Chicago - I know I have. I had a girlfriend whos sister was in love with Two Pac. We got messed up and ended up in South Chicago. Her sister, in the back seat, was showing off red and blue bandanas out the back windows. I was about ready to drop her off at the nearest Popeyes. I also had some friends from Floressent Mo. We got misdirected and messed up - ended up in East St. Louis(long story but it was an experience.) Last summer while visiting friends in Phoenix we got chased out of a neighborhood by a group of guys in a huge van with curtains.
Getting into crap like that makes you appretiate your own town/street/neighborhood.
