The problem seems to be no title for the trailer. Not sure how you would even go about getting one?

Though a little bigger and a little newer I have a Slick Craft. The SS235. They are well made boats. 34 years old and still going strong.

Thanks Dan. I read most of that info, seems that the quality of product they produced was very high. I am very interested in this boat but the trailer does not have a title. I am not sure what I would need to do to get one. I may call th DMV today and inquire. The price is right and the wife already agreed.

for it's age, it's in great shape. looks like mostly cosmetics. for a 50 year old trailer its super. Florida doesn't title boat trailers, and a lot of other states don't either. if MO. does register it as home made.

Thanks Tash. How do you get tags for a trailer if it is not registered (in FL)?

Re: Any one got info on Slick Craft?

My parents had one of these in the 60's. They beached it all week in the hot sun. The bottom bowed and made it porpoise at speed. It had a shallow chine and really rolled in turns as did most of that era.
I took it out on Lake Michigan one evening when the surface was glassy but huge rollers were coming in. It didn't like it and neither did I. After 10 minutes I took her back in. Never did that again!

in fla they are registered, but not titled. when you sell on you just hand the guy the registration and off he goes, doesn't even have to be signed. if you don't have a registration, you go to the pulbic scale have it weighed and take the weigh slip to the tax collector, and get a tag. that simple. it's not the same for boats. if no title it's a bit-h.
