antisiphon valve

Why would a boat repair shop remove the antisiphon valve on the gas tank of my boat
and replace it with a simple hose barb? A brass one at that. Regards, old jim

Because they don't understand how important the valve is. Make them fix it right.

Humm, why not ask the dealer why? Then have them replace it like Grub suggested. ;)
