You must have a center fuel tank? How much fuel does it hold and what HP you got on that thing?

Great boats those Mariners, We love ours.

Looks like your starting strong, from what others have posted here the poured in foam is a major pain to get out good luck.

Do you have any pics of the boat before you tore it a part?

I believe its an 88 .
Im putting a 115hp suzuki four stroke on it .
I only removed the centre section of foam because the sides still looked good . Boat was sandblasted from the blue down .I will paint that in the spring . I was afraid that the aluminum was damaged on the bottom but as it turns out its in very good shape . The gas tank is a 20 gallon in the centre of the floor .It was damaged and resembled swiss cheese .Small holes and lots of them . I repaired it with gaswell epoxy and it turned out really good . I had my doubts . I did however save enough while doing the repair to coat the outside as well as the inside . a little insurence.
I will attempt posting some photos over the next couple days . I have no quite fiquired it out yet .

I bought it allready torn apart . Wood floor was rotted completely . As for the foam . I used a spade shovel . Jam it into the foam like you would for dirt then pry back . Foam pops right out . Do this every 6 to 8 inches . Wasn't so bad to remove .

I think that is the first time anyone with poured in foam has said that. Way to go.

....I should tell you that there was a fuel leak in this boat . That could have aided the removal of the foam from the floor .
Last night I was installing the new 1 1/2" fuel fill line . As I removed the old one I noticed that it was jammed into the hull and Held in in between the stringers . These stringers had sharpe edges and the foam was soaked with fuel there as well .
I used more uhmw to cover the stringers and install the new fuel line . Pics to come .
