$2200 for a bathtub bass boat? Maybe it's that '57 39hp 'rude on there that makes it worth so much, eh? Perfect engine for that boat, too. :D

You know you're in for trouble when they take a picture of the company name but still can't spell it correctly in their ad..

I like CL for the grammar, spelling and syntax lessons frequently contained in the ads. For instance, I was not aware that "sale" was a verb, as in "must sale", "need to sale today", etc.

And then, there's the often-used and much sought after "Tri Haul" boat.

Q. What is a Tri Haul Boat?
A. A Tri Haul boat is a boat you haul three times. First, you haul it away from the guy you bought it from. Second, you haul it home to your driveway. Third, after you figure out that it's waterlogged, has soft floors, and needs a new transom and about $2000 worth of other work put in it, you haul it to the landfill. That's why it's called a "Tri Haul." :D

Come on now...I have afiberglass tri hull...its not water logged and for what it is rides great. just kinda get a little wet every once in awhile from the front spray...lol.


All I can say is I have never once thought of a older 90's era car going for anywhere near 80% of new price. yet I see motors from the 90's and even the 80's going for that plus! Theres a 95 force 50hp that looks almost like my 91 that I paid $400 for running and everything, this cat wants $1800 for his! I mean WTF? I sent him a email saying I will sell him my outboard for the low low price of $1200. LOL

I know what you mean. I almost want to post the NADA(http://www.nadaguides.com/) site on craigslist so people know where they can get some information before they by. It's really kind of pathetic what people think they can get for their boats. I personally wouldn't mind paying a little more for something that I know is going to work well, but when they're asking for almost $1000 more then what it's worth, I want to send them an e-mail of what their boat is actually worth. Haven't done it yet, but I've been tempted.

All that for only $900!?! That's one steal of a deal.



At my house I put shelf out on the curb and put a free sign on it. It was sitting out there for a few days and wasn't getting any takers. So I decided to put a $10 sign on it. It was gone the next morning :rolleyes:
