Dave, I also don't know what was said but you've always been helpful with boating questions that I've had and I appreciate it. As far as the apology, it shows that you're a stand up guy.

I am sure it is all good, anything can be taken out of context or misread.
It also takes a big person to admit if they may have been wrong, for that you should be commended.

If ever I am crazy enough to buy a project glasser, I would totally feel like it would be something I could do; only because of the advice given here. Where else can you find professional opinions, and proper, bulletproof procedures given out for free. The pro's here don't truely know how much of a help they are to the do-it-your-self-ers....

Thats true... you try calling up a marine place where they fix boats... and you try to have a small conversation about how do i fix this or how do i fix that... most of them will tell you "why dont you bring it down here we can take a look" which means "come down here and show us how big your wallet is"... the best thing about iboats is all of the free advise and critisism... i would rather come to a forum and get someone telling me im doing it wrong, than to do it wrong myself and endanger myself and others!!

Re: An open apology

YD, Thanks for all you have done to help us newbs and see the error of our ways...

Matter of fact explanations are sometimes misinterpreted as being offensive or rude, but facts is facts, and experience is after all the best teacher...

Sometimes our expertise gets in the way of political correctness, trying to explain why certain things have to be done certain ways, but in the end, if you want it done right, you should listen to those that have been there and done that...

While it may sometimes be a hard pill to swallow, especially on the 'Net", where emotions and inflections don't always come across as expected...

Folks just gotta learn to swallow their pride and deal with it...

I do it all the time when my boss tells me to do things a certain way...

Doesn't make me any less of a man...

Yeah there are many instances where there is "more than one way to skin a cat", but tried and true, proven methods should be followed to avoid that 'sinking feeling'...or trying to re-invent the wheel...

In the end, you cannot make everybody happy all of the time...but you sure can **** 'em off...LOL...

In my book you are an A-OK, 5-Star, Stand-up Dude...and the knowledge you pass on to us, is absolutely priceless

Like my sig says...Float, Float On...
