I am a new sailor. Just got an AMF Puffer. It was not sailed for 3 years, sitting outside in MN. I sailed for the first time yesterday and found it's taking water in the hull. I had the hull hole plugged. Is there anything I should know about this boat before I flip it over to look for cracks or seems where water is getting into the hull? How should I go about finding the water entry location? The hull was empty when I went out. After sailing for about 2hrs it took on quite a bit of water. I didn't notice while sailing. Just decided to trailer it to check since it was the first time out.

Welcome aboard.

Gonna' be a pain for ya'. I don't think the Puffer has any hatches/access panels where you can look down in the bilge to see what direction it's filling from. My first thought is somewhere around where the daggerboard comes through the hull. But I don't know how you watch for that.

If you look under the hull, how does the dagger board area look?
