I, for one am in the first catagory you listed Crunch.

Who said Rush is fair and balanced? He sure doesn't claim that. Even I, a staunch conservative, think he leans way right of center.

That's fine with me.

FoxNews isn't fair and balanced? How many stations like CNN have shows like Hannity and Colmes or the Beltway Boys, where one liberal and one conservative talk about the issues of the day? None, that I know of! If you find them leaning right of center maybe it's because the liberals don't make sense so when the conservative speaks you think its bias. It's not, its brains.

Let me say this as a member of iboats and not a moderator.

How did we jump from being laughed at to bashing this forum.
I do not see the common ground.

Yes we have changed a lot since our name change from Nothing to do with boats as the site has grown, you also get growing pains as such.

Yes there are some that come here just to start flame wars if they can and there are those that fall for it and then, there we go.

I am no expert at engines and such so I guess to some I should not be here but I came here much like everyone else has to get a question or two answered and then just hung out in DC and made a lot of friends along the way.

The people that help out in the help forums, I have the greatest respect for but on the same note the people that have been here any length of time knows how DC can be at times and if they don't like it they should not come in.
If I go somewhere and don't like it, I don't go back.

Now as far as members coming to iboats and then getting run off by DC, that is a tad reaching IMO.

Just keep an eye on the number on the right sidebar as to how many is on-line at any giving time.
I do and have yet to see it at 100. As I type, 40.

Good post Jason....I agree with most of it.
I believe the mods do a pretty good job considering, and I enjoy DC
BUT, keep in mind, those that 'exhaust' you don't normally stay long, so just see them out.
I enjoy most topics, but as for the heavy politics, well, those that push that barrow are probably insignificant little individuals in real life, and hiding behind a key-board is probably the 1st time in their lives any one has ever taken any notice of them.
Just see them out.
As for being laughed at....not true.....people in the Western World understand Americans are no different to them....we are all the same, except for our accents. We also understand that your leaders are just as big idiots as ours.
