alum. intake on 454

[old bird]

i'v got old 454 mercruiser, 1977, 330hp
had to pull the head, bent valve. Looking to buy a rebuilt head.
The intake is not too good a shape, so, thought i'd replace it now.
i can get an alum. intake, is it ok to do this.

forgot, the # on my intake is 933841, or 8338 or3338, i can't tell.
also, the # on the head is 14092360,

It is my understanding that the aluminum intake will not last long in salt water.

Ayuh,... If yer in the Brine, an aluminum intake will last but abit longer in months, that an Iron intake lasts in Years....
