alpha one trim in stop

I have a mercruiser alpha one that will not automatically stop in the "in" position. The motor keeps running until you let up on the trim button. Works fine on the "out" position. Is this normal for the "in" position? I did all the adjustments for the trim sender...
This is a used boat that I recently purchased.
Any help with this would be appreciated.

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... That's the way they're Supposed to work....
Don'tcha hear the pump unload, 'n whine different,..??

It's only supposed to automatically stop at the top of "Trim Up"....

When ya get to the end of "Trailer Up",.... The pump labors as it loads up,...
Tap the down button a few times to relieve the pressure on the system's valvin'...
