Alpha One Gimbal Ring Hinge Repair?

I just got a used gimbal housing that fits the Y pipe I need. The hinge at the base of the gimbal housing has some damage at the ring pivot hinge. It looks like someone ground it away a bit to get the lower pin out. Do you think it will be ok or should I have the spot TIG welded to build it back up?

Ayuh,...... I imagine it would be just fine, but if ya got access to a tig, I'd fill it in,.....

Thanks, I will run it by a machine shop to see if they can TIG it...

I went ahead and had the hinge built up with TIG welding at a machine shop. Here is their repair work picture. Peace of mind, $62.00.

(Remember to etch prime before painting)

They did a great job. I use the alumaprep and alodine method followed by epoxy primer and urethane topcoat.
