Hi all, name is Brett and I've viewed alot of questions on this forum and this is my first post and I'm in some serious need for advice. My 1993 alpha one gen 2 gimble housing has one broke stud and a few corroded studs, so I'm sure I'm not the first to encounter this and could use some guidance. Here is what I tried so far
1. Soaked in brake fluid and tried to use a punch to get free with no results.
2. Heated stud up and tried with a punch to give free but another fail.
I have tried uploading a picture but it will not allow me to so if I can figure that out I will post a pic as well, any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

I am in need of changing these on my boat as well... unfortunately, they are like 8 dollars a piece... I haven't removed them yet but I've been told by several people that heat and penetrating oil always works...

Ps, you'll have better luck with answers over in the mercruiser forum

Brett, I believe you have to post at least 3 times before you can put up photos. So, put up those pics. We want to see.

This forum doesn't allow you to post really large images, so make sure your pics are not too large.
