Alpha 1 gen 1 bottom anodes

Guys, do the two anode bolts on the gimbal housing run through the transom? I’m in the midst of replacing anodes. On one side it was seamless, the other side it looks as if the stud is moving too ever so slightly. Is this a place where water can enter transom? Thanks!

Yes, the anode stud bolt goes through the transom and has a nut holding it in place at the inner transom plate

They are a high risk component of the transom assy for corrosion/leaks. If one/both rotates with anode removal/install it's possible there has been water intrusion/transom integrity weakening. Only way to know for sure is to remove the stud bolt and inspect
