allen key size for trimtab 74 alpha one

i was wondering if anyone knows the allen key size for the trimtab removal on a 74 mercruiser apha one outdrive

Depends if the bolt is rusted. It's hard to get the proper size allen wrench in the hole with corrosion. You might have to scrape the inside of the hole to get the wrench in. Try a selection of sizes from small to big and use the first one that you have trouble inserting. That's probably the right size.

3/8" is the normal size.
