Been lurking here, 1st post, and have enjoyed all the various fourms.
i have a 1979 6 hp evinrude, low hours, I bought it new, hung on a CC as a kicker for many years, and just turned it up, head gasket, carb rebuild, and cooling parts. It has not been run for 15 years, and started 2nd pull after the tune up.
Here's the question--- All 5 motor mounts are shot, the 4 side ones are half detached from the steel plates and front one is real loose ( motor is still assembled) ------ do I have to remove the head to replace the center/front rubber mount???? The side ones will come off easily, but the front one has me scratching my head (and it's mostly bald)
Any help would be appreciated!
